Subject: AMIDEAST Intensive Arabic Summer Programs in Jordan, Morocco, Oman

AMIDEAST Education Abroad in the Arab World is now accepting applications
for summer 2014 Intensive Arabic programs in Jordan, Morocco, and Oman.
Offered in two 4-week sessions, each summer Intensive Arabic session
includes 100 hours of instruction in Modern Standard Arabic (5 credits) and
colloquial Arabic (1 credit) for 6 total credits. Classes meet 5 hours per
day, 5 days per week. One summer session covers the material usually
presented in one semester on a US campus.

In addition to academic coursework, AMIDEAST students benefit from an
on-site orientation, knowledgeable local program staff, structured
opportunities to meet local students, and organized visits to important
sites in and around their host city.

In Jordan: Students live in Amman, which is an ancient city facing
distinct modern challenges, thus making it an exciting place to live and
study. Students enrolled in AMIDEAST's Education Abroad Program have
opportunities to study Arabic with some of the most respected language
teachers in the region and to increase their Arabic acquisition through
daily interactions with host families. During each of the two summer
sessions AMIDEAST organizes a one day trip to a different part of the
country.

In Morocco: AMIDEAST's summer Intensive Arabic program in Morocco is
located in Rabat, a city that is home to palaces, wide boulevards, and
bustling markets. Students live with Arabic-speaking Moroccan families and
attend classes at AMIDEAST's facilities in the lively Agdal area of the
city. Learning Arabic with AMIDEAST's superb instructors, students navigate
Rabat's labyrinthine medina and interact with Morocco's diverse population
on local excursions.

In Oman: Muscat, a thriving multi-ethnic city with rapidly developing
infrastructure, is the home to AMIDEAST's Intensive Arabic program in Oman.
Students live in shared apartments close to Sultan Qaboos University's
campus in the Al Khoudh neighborhood of the city where they get involved in
the balancing of Omani tradition and modern growth. Whether in class or
wandering through Muscat's souks, students in Oman will sharpen their
Arabic skills and deepen their understanding of the region through regular
interaction with Omanis.

The application deadline for all summer 2014 programs is March 15, 2014.
