PhD required. Applicants must be experienced in proficiency-based, communicative method teaching Modern Standard Arabic and spoken Arabic at all levels including upper-level content-based courses. Areas of specialization preferred: linguistics, especially applied linguistics and sociolinguistics. Experience in curriculum and materials development, and in proficiency testing a plus.
