Candidates must have native or<br>near-native fluency in Arabic and demonstrated excellence in teaching Modern<br>Standard Arabic. Enthusiasm for teaching Arabic language courses at all<br>levels, courses on culture in the Arab world, and courses on Arabic<br>literature is essential to the position. The successful candidate will have<br>strong communication skills in English; a commitment to curricular<br>development in an undergraduate Arabic Studies program that emphasizes the<br>interrelation of languages, literatures, and cultures; and the ability and<br>drive to contribute to a new Middle Eastern Studies concentration in<br>International Studies.
