Subject:George Mason U Intensive Arabic Study Abroad in Syria
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium; white-space: normal; ">Merhaba, <br><br>Dear all, <br><br>George Mason University is pleased to offer an Intensive Arabic- Study Abroad to Syria at the University of Damascus. <br><br>Classes begin Jan 3- ends Jan 17th. Students must be there by the 2nd of Jan. <br><br>Students may take one of the courses offered, 3 credits: intermediate (210), Gateway to Advanced Arabic ARAB 250 advanced Reading and Conversation (330-331), and Dialect of Sham ARAB 380 courses.<br><br>Students will stay with Syrian families in Bab Tomah or Bab Sharqi within the Old City of Damascus. <br><br>Besides taking Arabic, students will enjoy two weekend excursions to Aleppo and Hamma and a visit to the ruins of Palmyra. <br><br>Prices will include two meals a day, trips, home-stay, and orientation. It will not cover airfare. Therefore, students are not required to return to the U.S. at a particular date.
