<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium; white-space: normal; ">Tufts University Arabic Language Lecturer<br><br>Tufts University, the Department of German, Russian, and Asian <br>Languages and Literatures at invites applications for a full-time <br>lecturer position in Arabic Language beginning in September 2010 with <br>possibility of renewal. Salary competitive and commensurate with <br>experience and qualifications. The Arabic Program at Tufts has more <br>than 180 students enrolled in five different language levels and more <br>enrolled in its culture and literature offerings taught in English. <br>Responsibilities include teaching three courses per semester in Modern <br>Standard Arabic and active involvement and participation in a rapidly <br>developing Arabic Program.<br><br>Requirements: native or near-native fluency in Arabic and excellent <br>command of English; demonstrated ability to teach all levels of Modern <br>Standard Arabic at the college level in the U.S.; MA in Arabic or <br>related field required; commitment to language teaching and curricular <br>innovation. Training in language pedagogy highly preferred.
