<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium; white-space: normal; "><div><p class="style6">Call for papers</p></div><div><span class="style2">The Arabic Linguistics Society and Alexandria University are pleased to announce the fourth International Arabic Linguistics Symposium to be held at Alexandria University, Egypt December 11–12, 2010.<br><br>Papers are invited on topics that deal with theoretic and applied issues of Arabic Linguistics. Research in the following areas of Arabic linguistics are encouraged:<br><br>• linguistic analysis (phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, and pragmatics), <br>• applied linguistics<br>• sociolinguistics<br>• psycholinguistics<br>• discourse analysis<br>• historical linguistics<br>• corpus linguistics<br>• computational linguistics</span></div><div><span class="style2">etc.<br><br>Persons interested in presenting papers are requested to submit a one-page abstract giving the title of the paper, a brief statement of the topic and a summary clearly stating how the paper is developed (the reasoning, data, and results). Authors are requested to be as specific as possible in describing their topics. <br><br>Email submissions should be in PDF format with all fonts embedded. Names are not to appear in the abstracts.
