<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: medium; white-space: normal; ">Spots are filling quickly for: <br><br>Summer Israel / Palestine Study Tour and Intensive Arabic / Hebrew Language Course<br><br>June 27 - August 1, 2010<br><br>Registration Deadline: June 10<br> <br>The Middle East Institute's Language and Regional Studies Department is pleased to announce its new summer program in Israel/Palestine. The program will run from June 27 through August 1, 2010, and will include intensive language studies (Arabic and/or Hebrew) and a multi-faceted study of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Students will participate in a variety of classes, excursions, and meetings with Palestinian and Israeli community members, academics, activists, and politicians.<br><br>Contact: For additional information, and/or to apply, please contact Dr. Adina Friedman, the Program Director, at <a href="mailto:adina66@hotmail.com">adina66@hotmail.com</a>, or call 703-725-2926.<br><br>Cost: $4000. Covers tuition, accommodations, excursions in Israel and the West Bank, three days in Jordan, and most meals. Cost does not include flights to Israel, visa and border fees between Israel and Jordan, and meals during students' free time/days off. Students must show proof of health insurance, including overseas coverage.<br><br>Payment: Full payment is due by June 20, 2010. Payments may be made by phone (202-785-2710), in person, or online at <a href="http://www.mei.edu/">www.mei.edu</a> for one of the following options:<br><br> * Full payment ($4,000)<br> * Deposit ($400) <br> * Balance after deposit ($3,600)<br><br>A non-refundable deposit of $400 is required and due by June 10, 2010 to reserve a place in the study abroad program. All payments will be refunded to students if they are later denied admission to the program or if the trip, for whatever reason, is completely canceled. Students admitted to the study abroad program who cancel for their own reasons will not receive a refund for the $400 deposit.<br><br>Please make checks payable to: Middle East Institute.
