It will <br>take place in Marrakech, and it will follow the line of previous OCP <br>conferences which have been held in Leiden, Tromsø, Budapest, Rhodes, <br>Toulouse, Edinburgh and Nice.<br><br>There is no specific theme for the main conference, abstracts can be <br>submitted on anything. However, there is a half-day thematic pre-<br>conference workshop on 'The Contribution of Arabic and Amazigh in <br>Phonological Theory' <br><br>Call for Papers<br><br>Keynote speakers:<br>- Karim Bensoukas (Mohammed V University, Morocco)<br>- Mohamed Guerssel (Université du Québec à Montréal, Canada)<br>- Paul Kiparsky (Stanford University, USA)<br>- Janet Watson (Salford University, UK)<br><br>Main conference: we invite submission of abstracts<br>-either for 20 min oral presentation, followed by 10 min of discussion<br>-or for poster presentation<br><br>Submissions will be anonymously refereed by at least two reviewers (see <br>the advisory board).<br>Workshop: we invite submission of abstracts<br>For 20 min oral presentation, followed by 10 min of discussion<br><br>Abstracts are submitted through the EasyAbstracts system of Linguist List.<br>In order to submit, go to the OCP8 submission page before September 20th,<br>midnight: <a href="http://linguistlist.org/confcustom/OCP8-2011">http://linguistlist.org/confcustom/OCP8-2011</a><br><br>You will be asked whether your submission concerns the main conference <br>or the workshop. BUT in order to ensure an anonymous reviewing <br>procedure, please double-check that the file which you upload is completely <br>anonymous and does not contain any information that identifies the authors. <br>Uploaded files must be in Portable Document Format (.pdf). Pdf files carry <br>information about users in the Document Properties (CTRL-D or <br>file/document properties). Please make sure that no traces regarding <br>authors remain.<br><br>Please note that once you upload your abstract, it will not be possible to<br>clean up the author's identifying information. We will not touch it before the<br>reviewers download it.<br><br>Important:<br>If you have problems while uploading your abstract, please DO NOT repeat<br>the submission procedure several times: the submission software does not<br>allow us to cancel submissions.
