The conference aims at providing <br>those researchers with a chance to present and share their research <br>findings with an audience who share the same research interest. It also <br>aims at providing opportunities for creating research networks between <br>those researchers. <br><br>Venue:<br><br>It is a one-day conference to be held on the 10th June 2011 at the <br>University of York in the Humanities Research Centre. <br><br>Invited speakers:<br><br>The conference will include two oral-presentation sessions by: <br><br>· Alex Bellem, University of Salford<br><br>· Ghada Khattab, Newcastle University<br><br>One of the oral presentations will be in Arabic Phonology and one in <br>Arabic Phonetics. One session will be in the morning and the other one in <br>the afternoon. Poster presentations will be held between the two sessions. <br><br>Abstracts:<br><br>Abstracts of no more than 300 words (excluding references) should be sent <br>to <a href="mailto:pcapp.2011@gmail.com">pcapp.2011@gmail.com</a> at any time before Thursday 31 March 2011. <br>Participants should send two copies of the abstract in a Microsoft-word <br>format, one anonymous with no personal details included and one includes <br>name, affiliation, and email. <br><br>Abstracts acceptance notification will be sent by 30th of April 2011. Oral-<br>presentation participants will be given 20 minutes for their talks and 10 <br>minutes for questions and discussions.
