Students will have the opportunity to complete a year of academic study of Arabic in 12 weeks during the summer 2011 session. Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced Arabic courses will be offered three evenings per week for 12 weeks. Classes begin May 16, 2011. This intensive course covers the material taught during</div><div>the fall and spring semesters.</div><div>10 credits</div><div>May 16-August 4, MWTH 5:30-9:15pm</div><div> </div><div>ARAB-296 Intensive Intermediate Arabic</div><div>The goals of this course is to make students familiar with new elements of Modern Standard</div><div>Arabic grammar, to further develop their reading, speaking, listening, and writing skills, while</div><div>expanding the vocabulary. This intensive course covers the material taught during the fall and</div><div>spring semesters.</div><div>Prerequisite: ARAB-103 or equivalent</div><div>10 credits</div><div>May 16-August 4, MWTH 5:30-9:15pm</div><div> </div><div>ARAB-396 Intensive Advanced Arabic</div><div>This course introduces students to more advanced Modern Standard Arabic grammar and</div><div>significantly expands their vocabulary.
