There is a choice of private schools, hospitals and clinics. The Bahrain Teacher's College (BTC) was established in 2008 in line with the Kingdom’s Education Reform initiative as outlined in Bahrain’s Vision 2030. At the pre service level the college offers the Bachelor of Education degree and the PGDE. The college has a growing continuous professional development program as well as a school leadership in-service program.
