Native or near-native fluency in Arabic is required. The successful candidate will teach courses in Arabic language (at all levels) and other courses in literature, cultural studies, or linguistics appropriate for the Arabic major. (Courses taught by members of the Arabic faculty may also fulfill degree requirements in other programs, such as Literary Studies, Linguistics, and/or the Middle East Studies track in the International Studies Major.)
