<br><div>Assistant Professor of Arabic</div><div>World Languages and Literatures</div><div>College of Arts and Sciences</div><div><br></div><div>Western Michigan University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Arabic, an academic year, tenure-track position within the Department of World Languages and Literatures, pending budgetary approval.</div>
<div><br></div><div>Major Responsibilities:</div><div><br></div><div>* Teaching undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Standard Arabic and Colloquial Arabic (taught in Arabic) and Middle Eastern culture and literature (taught in English).</div>
<div>* Research in the field is expected and will be necessary for advancement.</div><div>* Additional responsibilities include advising, curricular development, participation in student activities and outreach, and service on department, college, and university committees.</div>
