Subject:Choate Summer Abroad Program for High School students<br><br><div>Choate Summer Arabic Study</div><div>Abroad Program for High School students</div><div> </div><div>Choate</div><div>Rosemary Hall will be offering High School students the opportunity to immerse</div>

<div>themselves in the Arabic language and Arab culture by spending 4 weeks in</div><div>Amman, Jordan from June 10th till July 10th.  The program will offer Modern Standard Arabic</div><div>(at a level appropriate to proficiency) and intensive Jordanian colloquial</div>

<div>classes. Students will also explore Jordanian History and will learn about</div><div>traditional Islamic arts. Students on the program will live in pairs with</div><div>Jordanian families, which will help them improve their spoken Arabic and</div>

<div>discover Jordanian social customs and traditions.   </div><div> </div><div>The</div><div>program uses the Georgetown Arabic language textbooks by Brustad, al-Batal and</div><div>al-Tonsi (MSA) and materials developed by Al-Qasid Institute (colloquial).</div>
