Bill Poser recently had his new book on Carrier published.

I really like the idea behind this sort of book, a layman's
introduction to the language for people who don't intend to research
it or learn to speak it. The sort of book that will sell well with the
general public, increase public awareness of indigenous languages,
encourage more interest in the language and its people, and debunk the
occasional linguistic myth.

Here's the publisher's blurb:

This book provides an overview of the Carrier language – where it is
spoken, by whom, and what it is like. It is not a reference grammar or
a textbook but rather is intended to acquaint the reader with the
general character of the language and with some particularly
interesting aspects. It is intended to be accessible to the
non-specialist reader: secondary school students, college and
university students, those interested in local history and culture,
tourists, and language buffs. The author has a Doctorate in
Linguistics and is currently a Research Consultant to the Yinka Dene
Language Institute.

Cheers,
James
