The Juneau Empire has an article on a recent Tlingit language immersion camp.

Unfortunately the Tlingit text in the article doesn’t preserve the
underline diacritic which distinguishes velars from uvulars (<x> =
/x/, <x̱> = /χ/). For the phonologists, there’s an interesting example
of uvular vowel lowering in the article. The word for seal fat, tsaa
eex̱í (/tsʰaː ʔiːχí/) shows uvular lowering among many northern
Tlingit speakers, giving tsaa eix̱í (/tsʰaː ʔeːχí/). Note also that
the <l> is voiceless since Tlingit generally lacks a voiced lateral.

One of the pictures features Mary Folletti on the left, Alice Taff in
back turned away from the camera, and Nora Dauenhauer on the left.
Mary & Nora are preparing seal grease.

Cheers,
James
