Doig River First Nation determined that they are unable to host the Dene Languages Conference this year because they are hosting two other major events, A Beaver and Cree Language Gathering in April and a Powwow in September.  Hosting a third event in one year

 is beyond their capacity, which I understand. If any other community is interested in hosting the conference this year, there is interest from many communities in resuming this important language gathering.</div>
