This is an open invitation to contribute to the panel titled ¡¥Ethics and Healthcare Communication¡¦. I have been organizing this panel at COMET over the past few years to draw attention to both matters that relate to (i) research ethics in the conduct of healthcare
communication research, especially within the qualitative inquiry paradigm; and (ii) what I have called ¡¥communication ethics¡¦, i.e., the ethical dimensions of communicating healthcare issues such as client-centred care, uncertainty, risk, shared decision
making etc. I¡¦m convinced in all forms of empirical research in the healthcare setting, the ethical issues are omnipresent and can be foregrounded for critical and reflective deliberation. I would very much encourage you to engage with the ethical issues surrounding
