There are still some places available in the International Summer
School at University College Dublin, 2-19 July, 1997.

The two-and-a-half week programme has the general title  'Ireland:
Culture and Politics' and Irish heritage and identity through a wide
range of topics, covering Archaeology, Folklore, Drama, Literature,
History and Politics. The School was founded in 1949.

The course will provide new insights for students already
familiar with Ireland, but is equally accessible to
the newcomer. Lectures and seminars are complemented by visits, field
tours and musical events. Lectures are given by faculty members of
international renown and by distinguished guest speakers from the
arts and public life in Ireland. The 400 pound tuition fee (c $660)
covers visits to theatres, museums, galleries and places of interest,
as well as two day tours and a number of parties/receptions Three
academic credits available for students. Suits all ages, from 18 to
80!

The School offers an excellent academic and recreational programme
and is the ideal alternative vacation.

Accommodation is available on campus or in private homes.
