Problems with +f switch using vocd

 Virginia,

To get rid off the commands and other setting that CLAN keeps on PC you need to locate two CLAN preference files in directory "\Windows\clan" or it might be called "\WINNT\clan". The file "CED.Prefs" or "CED.UPrefs" has settings pertaining to CLAN window sizes, positions and CLAN Editor setting. The file "CLAN.Prefs" or "CLAN.UPrefs" has all CLAN commands. You can delete either or both files to completely reset CLAN's setting. On the MAC those preference files are located in folder "/Users/<user_name>/Library/Preferences/CLAN".

I tried exactly the same sequence on my PC XP, but without -s at exclude.txt because you did not send me the "exclude.txt" file yet. First, I type command "vocd +t*MOT +r6 filename" and next I typed "vocd +t*MOT +f +r6 filename". Both commands worked fine on my PC. To find what is wrong and to fix this, I need more information from you . When you get back to your computer, please make sure that you have the latest version of CLAN. If you do and it still has this problem, then please send me the "exclude.txt" and the input file, the one you call "filename", to my email address and not to chibolts address. I think, Google removes email attachments before it re-sends the message to everyone else.

Leonid.

I couldn't get CLAN to fail on my Windows XP PC and my Intel Mac OS 10.6 when "exclude.txt" was located by vocd. Please install new CLAN and try vocd again. If you are still having problems, then please email to me all the files that you are using while running vocd. In case of example below, could you please email to me the file "exclude.txt" and file "filename". Also, let me know which Computer and OS you are using, i.e. Mac or PC, Win Xp, Vista 7, 10.5 or 10.6.
