Linking transcripts to mp3

Nicole,

I tried latest CLAN on Windows 7 and it had no problem playing our mp3 file. As mentioned below please make sure that file name specified on @Media header does match exactly the name of the MP3 file without the ".mp3" extension. There could be space characters or some other invisible characters in the file name on the hard disk.

The other possibility is that your MP3 file(s) are in format that is not supported by CLAN. CLAN should be able to play any mp3 file that QuickTime Player or iTunes applications can play. That is usually 44.100 or 22.050 kHz and 64 to 320 kbps.

Leonid.

Perhaps the specific .mp3 file you are using is problematic in some way. Try to see if QuickTime can play the file directly outside of CLAN. Usually, the problem is one of the ones I have mentioned. If not, you would need to email me the transcript and the audio file.
