difficulty saving files

There are two reasons for this error. One reason is that on some systems, like Mac and some Windows systems when any application opens a file, then this file is marked as read only and any other application that tries to save the same file will not be allowed to do so. The second reason is that user doesn't have write privileges to save a file to that folder. It is also possible that some random system error occurred that marked this file as read only, in this case try to reboot your computer. In a meantime use "File->Save As.." menu to save that file in some other folder, otherwise you will lose any changes you might have made to the file.

Leonid.

When we go to do so and then save the file, we get an error message that says, "Can't write file. Maybe it is opened by another application." It will not allow us to save our changes to the file in the CLAN folder. We have looked in the manual for information on this error message and did not find it. Any ideas as to why we cannot save a new version with the same file name?
