xx no longer marks the spot?

Hi all,

I've noticed that when I run *CHECK* on some files, the output marks the
item *xx* as illegal. I just wanted to check that this isn't an issue with
the program and that transcriptions including *xx* as part of the string
are no longer accepted?

Best,
Mark
