Trying to exclude a list of words

Hello,

I am trying to exclude a list of words from my transcripts using a command
and word list that I have previously used successfully, but I'm now having
trouble getting it to work. The command I am using is:

freq +t*CHI +r6 -s at exclude.txt filename.cha

and the message I receive is:

Multi-words are not allowed with option: -s
Multi-words are search patterns with space character(s) in-between.
If you did not mean to have space characters in-between words,
then please remove space characters and try again.

What does this mean?

Thanks,
Virginia
