plural form of compounds

Dear Capucine,
     You need to use the plus sign for compounds. So, the entry in n+n.cut (or else your own separate add-in .cut file) should be:

tarte+tatin {[scat n][gen fem][comp n+n]} =apple_tart=
tartes+tatin {[scat n][gen fem][num pl][comp n+n]} =apple_tarts=

For French compounds in which the plural is marked at the end (I.e. te+deums) there is no need for an extra entry for the plural. However, for those in which the plural is internal or double (petits-infants) there has to be an additional entry in the n+n.cut file.

Also, in the transcript, you should use the form tartes+tatin, rather than tartes_tatin.

Recently, I made some changes to the FRA lexicon to conform more closely to standard orthography, but I imagine you would still want to write tartes+tatin, rather than tartestatin. In the Germanic languages compounds get written as one word, but in French, I think one expects some sort of separation, usually by a hyphen, but we are using the plus instead.

Subject: plural form of compounds

Hello,

We are currently transcribing corpus in French and we have difficulties with the plural of compounds form.

We have to add to lexicon file some compounds and Mor doesn't recognize that the compound is at the plural form.

We had try to enter these two forms :
tartes_tatin {[scat n][gen fem][comp n+n]}
tartes_tatin {[scat n][gen fem][tn pl][comp n+n]}.
But in both cases, the %mor line doesn't recognize the plural.

Do you know how we can do to indicate to mor that this compund is at the plural form ?

(sorry for this approximate English...)

Tank you !
