Finiteness errors

Hello everyone!

CLAN newbie here, working on coding morphosyntactic errors - wondering if
there is a recommended method for coding finiteness errors in English when
it isn't clear whether the missing morpheme should be 3rd person -s or past
tense -ed?

And more generally, what would be the best way to code for errors that
don't have an assigned error code in the manual? (for example we are also
interested in coding referential cohesion)

Apologies if this is obvious or something I might have missed. Any
suggestions/pointing to resources is appreciated!

Kind regards,
