I just tried the last version of CLAN and the PRAAT version 5.3.18 and it works fine on my Mac. If you still are having problems, then I would suggest that you play the bullet in CLAN before you send it to PRAAT. I don't really know if PRAAT has any limit on a length of file name path, but I would recommend to make sure that data file and media file are not placed too deep down the hard drive's file path with very long names. Also, I don't know if PRAAT can handle space characters in a file name path or any non-latin characters. For testing purposes put data and media files in hard drive's root directory and call them some simple names, like "d1.cha" and "d2.mov". Once, you know it is working it would be very easy to track down the other problem.

We are using a Mac and the most recent versions of CLAN and PRAAT. We start by opening PRAAT, then open the .cha file and associated .mov file. We then put our cursor on the targeted utterance before the bullet. Then we go to MODE--Send to sound analyzer. THis leads to a 'long temp' file appearing in the PRAAT window. We then use PRAAT to change it to a .wav file. But when we then go to play it the following error appears:
