<div dir="ltr">Hello,<div><br></div><div>I would like to get a list of all the verb stems (including gerunds but excluding aux, mod, cop) used across multiple files. I'd also like the output (merged across files) to be directed to a separate file. After consulting this group earlier and reading the manual, I composed the following command (using the GUI and taking out aux etc manually):</div><div><br></div><div>freq +s"@|-v,|-part,r-*,o%" *.cha +u > verbstems.nohelpverbs<br></div><div><br></div><div>The output looked reasonable. But I'd really like to confirm with the experts here that I'm not doing it wrong.<br></div><div><br></div><div>Also, in response to my earlier post asking how to get all the verbs (my question wasn't very specific), Brian had given the following command:</div><div><br></div><div>freq +t%mor +s"v|*" *.cha +u<br></div><div><br></div><div>What does +t%mor do? Why do the +s parts look so different in the two commands (i.e., the use of @ and the reversed positions of v and |)?</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks a lot!</div><div><br></div><div>Best,</div><div>Lulu</div></div>
