I have fixed it and installed new CLAN on childes web site. If you do not want to install new version of CLAN on your computer, then you can use KWAL command to remove utterances with postcodes from analyses using this command:</div><div><br></div><div>kwal -s"[+ POSTCODE]" +d +f filename.cha</div><div><br></div><div>After that run TIMEDUR on the output of KWAL command. Of cause, you need to replace "POSTCODE" keyword with whatever postcode you are using in your data files.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>2. I have testing TIMEDUR on example file "clip.cha", that we distribute with CLAN in folder "CLAN/examples", and all line numbers in "# CUR" column are matching datafile. I would ask you to email to me a sample file that produces mismatch on your computer and include the command line you used.</div><div><br></div><div>3. TIMEDURE command does not use %tim tier. I am not sure where you got an information about %tim tier, but the current CLAN manual located at URL "" does not mention %tim tier under 9.27 TIMEDUR section that describes the use of TIMEDUR command. There are two ways to exclude utterances that you are not interested in. One is to put appropriate postcode on that utterance and the other is to create a "gem" around utterances that you are interested in. In both case transcript would have to be changed. If you want to know more please contact me directly and I will explain it in more details.</div><div><br><div>
