187.4 E-mail Discussion Lists for Tlingit, Haida & Tsimshian
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

>From Lachler Jordan (jordan.lachler at sealaska.com) 14 Feb 2003:

Since I know we all don't already have enough e-mail to deal with in our
lives, I've started three new e-mail discussion lists, one for each of
the languages served by the Sealaska Heritage Institute. The lists are
intended as a forum for native speakers, teachers and students of Tlingit,
Haida and Tsimshian to share ideas and concerns, network with each other
and learn from one another.

Along with the usual discussion that takes place on such lists, I'm
hoping to also include a Word of the Day feature on each list, to help
all of us beginning beginners.

To sign up for one or more of the lists, send a message to:

listserv at unm.edu

Leave the subject field blank. In the body of the message, with no other
text, write:

   subscribe TLINGIT_LANGUAGE-L firstname lastname

and/or

   subscribe HAIDA_LANGUAGE-L firstname lastname

and/or

   subscribe TSIMSHIAN_LANGUAGE-L firstname lastname

(Be sure to replace "firstname" and "lastname" with your own actual name).

Gunalchiesh, Haw'aa and 'Doyck-shin!
