I recognized it right away from having retyped several dictionaries; pardon

Shaw and Gibbs give sapolill as CJ for wheat, flour.

Shaw further asserts from Chinook Tsapelil (probably from Gibbs, see below).

Saplil = Yakama for bread (Pandosy, as cited by Gibbs/Shaw, Shaw notes L&C
spelled it "Chapelell").

Gibbs (in the sketchy Alph. Vocab. of the Chinook Lang.) gives: "Flour (or
grain), tsap'e-lil; (common to all the river tribes.)"

So look for this one under T and C as well as S.

As a name, perhaps analoguous to "Miller" or "Baker"?
