Jargon thing from Google Alerts

Recommend checking this out in depth. There are a number of blogs here organized in "tribes" who appear to want to adopt Chinook Wawa as their official separtist language. They appear to want to form a political party to officially separate Oregon Washington and British Columbia from the US and Canada. They use the book Ecotopia as their founding document. And their history begins at Champoeg with the settlement of white men there. They appear to have no thought about the previous native inhabitants and are using the published Chinook Jargon sources from Hale as their source for the language. As such they are developing a new way to spell the language and as proposing it as a street language for Cascadians. ALL very interesting! Appears to be a revival hippy/yuppy cult with many of the same characteristics of appropriation of native cultures.
