Corpora: Using SARA to query other corpora than the BNC

Hans Martin,

first of all thank you very much for providing this link. Undoubtedly an
excellent piece of software that makes up this web service. Unfortunately I did
not have time to do more than toy testing, but the system seems to work really
nicely.

But that was not the point I was trying to make. Can anyone interested in corpus
linguistics install your system? Access is certainly one important thing, but
can the user add new samples, modify existing ones and similar stuff? Besides,
web services may limit or restrict data exchange with other programs being
installed on the target machine. My software has the ability to use data from
other programs in order to dynamically add POS tags, base forms and so on. IMHO
corpus query systems are more than mere retrieval applications.
