Corpora: trigram frequencies

A query from a colleague which I am sure someone on this list can answer:
(my initial thought was -- just compute them yourself from an appropriate
corpus, but finding the appropriate corpus may be somewhat of a
problem)

Do you happen to know where I could find occurrence tables for
trigrams of letters in English (or other languages?)

I am interested in adding to the editor a simple spell-checker for basic
OCR checking.
