It is our pleasure to announce that the sixteenth CLIN meeting will be 
hosted
by the Faculties of Science and Humanities at the University of Amsterdam.
As usual, the language of the conference will be English.

Academic as well as industrial researchers in computational linguistics,
natural language processing, and all related language and speech technology
are cordially invited to participate in CLIN 2005.


INVITATION FOR EXHIBITION STANDS FROM INDUSTRY:
Researchers and developers from language and speech industry are cordially
invited to participate in CLIN 2005. Industrial participants are encouraged
to present their technology through exhibition stands. Send an email to the
clin2005 at science.uva.nl  with a subject with the word "exhibition" and 
specify
your needs for the stand. Fees: no extra charges, i.e. regular 
registration fees.

REGISTRATION:
All participants must register before 12 December 2005 (12:00 noon) using
the registration form found under ``registration" on the CLIN2005 website:
             http://www.science.uva.nl/events/CLIN2005/
The registration fee is Euro 40 for all regular participants (academic,
industrial, or student).


LOCAL ORGANIZATION:
The local organization committee of this year's meeting consists of
Maarten de Rijke, Remko Scha, Khalil Sima'an and Rob van Son.

CLIN PROCEEDINGS:
A volume with proceedings of the fifteenth CLIN meeting (held in 2004,
in Leiden) will be available at this year's meeting. We intend to produce
a volume of the proceedings of CLIN 2005 before CLIN 2006. Papers for these
proceedings will have to be written in English; they will be reviewed by a
committee to be appointed in due time.
