-- Apologies for cross-postings --

Dear list members,

we are pleased to announce the public release of version 1.0 of our
Selectional Preference Database for WordNet 1.6 Synsets. This resource
provides synset-to-synset weights for subject-verb and verb-object
relations. The source data to build this resource was the Semcor corpus,
and the WordNet hierarchy was employed to propagate the scores ([1],[2]).

This resource was first presented in CoNLL-2001 [1], and extended in [2].
It has been applied to WSD in both papers, and in [3] a study was
conducted to test their application to another language (Basque).

The Selectional Preferences can be downloaded from the following url:

Comments and feedback are most welcome.

Best,

Eneko Agirre
