ASTON CORPUS SYMPOSIUM 2008: Friday 23rd May 2008

After a very successful event in 2007, Aston Corpus Symposium returns in 2008, aiming to become an annual event. The symposium
aims to bring together experts in various corpus-related fields. The programme will consist of presentations by the following
distinguished speakers:

•	Svenja Adolphs (University of Nottingham)
•	Khurshid Ahmad (Trinity College, Ireland)
•	Kate Beeching (University of the West of England, Bristol)
•	Silvia Bernardini (University of Bologna, Italy)
•	Kieran O’Halloran (Open University)
•	Tony McEnery (Lancaster University)
•	Paul Thompson (University of Reading)
•	Chris Tribble (King's College, London)

More information on presentations, fees, accommodation, etc. will be available on the symposium website in the following weeks.

The Symposium will be preceded by a postgraduate conference on corpus linguistics
(http://acorn.aston.ac.uk/postgraduate_conference.html), which will take place on Thursday 22nd May. A call for submission of
papers will be made separately.
