Dear colleagues,

We are happy to announce the release of MaltParser 1.0.0. MaltParser is a 
language-independent system for data-driven dependency parsing, which can 
be used to induce a parsing model from treebank data and to parse new data 
using the induced model. MaltParser is developed by Johan Hall, Jens 
Nilsson, and Joakim Nivre at the School of Mathematics and Systems 
Engineering, Växjö University, and at the Department of Linguistics and 
Philology, Uppsala University, Sweden.

MaltParser 1.0.0 and later releases constitute a complete reimplementation 
of MaltParser in Java, distributed with an open source license, and 
replaces the older versions 0.1-0.4 (available only as binaries).

MaltParser 1.0.0 can be downloaded from 
http://w3.msi.vxu.se/~jha/maltparser/
