[Corpora-List] No poverty of the stimulus

More rhetoric! Mike himself introduces analogies constantly as a form of
argument and then complains that no one is talking about what really
interests him! One day, someone will sit down and write a book on the
history of those people who do this and then complain that the biggest
problem with doing science is that other people are continually "missing
your point". Who knows? Perhaps someone already has.

But I will indulge, for one more post. I've just reread The Double Helix.
Nowhere in that book does James Watson mention that he and Crick considered
that the shape of the DNA material might be arranged like a giant octopus or
the Statue of Liberty or one or those funny-looking gargoyle things outside
the Bodleian. Isn't science obvious in this specific sense?
