The following position is of direct relevance to corpus linguists with CS
background and Computational linguists

The Division of Computational Linguistics at the University of
Tuebingen, Germany is involved in building a large national and
European research infrastructure for language resources and technology
(www.clarin.eu and www.sfs.uni-tuebingen.de/dspin).  For these
projects we are searching for

an applications programmer

with demonstrated expertise in the design and implementation of
graphical user interfaces and web services.  Excellent programming
skills in JAVA, practical experience with relational databases and
Apache Tomcat, as well as prior experience in team-based software
development are required.

The starting date for this full-time position is January 1, 2009.  The
initial period of appointment is for two years, with the possibility
of renewal subject to follow-up funding.

The position is at the rank of "Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter"
(M.A. or equivalent required).  The salary is determined by the German
civil servants standard (Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L) and amounts to
42000-44000 Euro per year.  The exact salary depends on the successful
applicant's experience.
