JOB TITLE: Research Position

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS: Specialized in SMT

 

JOB DESCRIPTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate shall contribute to
current and future research and development in statistical machine
translation in the institute. The candidate is expected to conduct in-depth
study and research on the key technologies for the next generation of
statistical machine translation, and develop and enhance our in-house real
translation systems using the research results.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• PhD or Master in Computer Science or a closely related area

• Strong foundation in language technologies and advanced experiences in the
following areas:

      - Statistical and/or Machine Learning approaches in NLP

      - Statistical Machine Translation

      - Strong programming skills (C/C++, Perl or Java)

      - Strong interest in conducting applied research with the ability to
deliver solutions

      - Strong publication records

      - Ability to work as a team

      - High degree of integrity, passion and drive

      - Proficiency in written and spoken English and/or Chinese/Thai/Malay
or any other southeast languages
