[Corpora-List] patent application for "using an ontology in natural language understanding"

One of the things that is perhaps not widely understood is that the US
patent system routinely issues patents which should not be issued according
to its own rules, because it is overwhelmed with applications and when time
is short it is easier for patent examiners to approve than to reject
applications (for rejection, they have to give specific reasons).  US
patent no. 5,965,809, granted in 1999, is for a method of determining a
woman's bra size by running a tape measure round her bust.  For more
