Thank you Yorick. I think we have reached the stage where different approaches will be found to be cross-verificatory. Markovian methods have a longer tradition too . Bill

These researchers did a very good job indeed of generating text approximating more and more closely to sample paragraphs (e.g. Shakespeare).
