A lectureship (comparable to a US tenure-track faculty position) in
Computational Cognitive Science is available at the School of
Informatics, University of Edinburgh.

The University of Edinburgh has announced a number of prestigious
positions called Chancellor's Fellowships. These are initially 5-year
Fellowships, but subject to satisfactory review at the end of 3 years,
the Fellow will move to a permanent academic post. Appointees will be
able to concentrate on research in the first instance, acquiring the
full duties of University Lecturer across the period of the
Fellowship. These prestigious awards are aimed at early career
individuals of the highest potential who have begun to establish a
reputation for the highest quality research at the forefront of their
discipline and who have a commitment to learning and teaching at
university level.

One of the priority areas for Chancellor's Fellowships is
Computational Cognitive Science. Areas of interest include
computational models of language (including human-human and
human-machine communication), higher-level cognition (including
reasoning, categorization, and cognitive development), and
multi-modal cognition (including visual processing, gesture, and
sensorimotor control). Research on these topics is conducted in
the Institute for Language, Cognition and Computation (ILCC,
http://www.ilcc.inf.ed.ac.uk/).

ILCC is based in the School of Informatics, one of the world's
top research leaders in computer science/informatics. The
University of Edinburgh is one of the world's top research
universities, in one of the world's most pleasant cities.
