Lots of free textbooks (legally!) at: http://www.ck12.org/ . Just download the PDF's and convert to text.

Subject: [Corpora-List] corpus of textbooks

Dear Corpora List members,

I am currently engaged in corpus analysis as part of a doctorate in education.
I have a locally compiled corpus that I would ideally like to be able to compare with a reference corpus of textbooks with the following characteristics:

* A-level or first year undergraduate level
* Consists of Business/Economics or Engineering textbooks (or can be readily filtered for these subject areas)
* text files in unicode preferred format

Does anybody know of such a corpus/corpora and how I might get access?

Thanks in advance for any help you are able to offer.

Mat
