[Corpora-List] PhD scholarships in UCREL, Lancaster University, UK

Lancaster University's School of Computing and Communications has six Doctoral Scholarships available for exceptional UK, EU and overseas graduates. We are keen to attract candidates to join our team of Corpus-based Computational Linguistics / Natural Language Processing researchers.

Awards will be made on the basis of academic excellence and potential for future achievement as demonstrated by your application and supporting references. The Scholarships provide support for PhD studies for a duration of 3 to 3.5 years and include a waiver of tuition fees (partial fee waiver for overseas students), a student maintenance grant and a training bursary.

Candidates are strongly encouraged to contact relevant academics before applying to discuss interests and potential topics. The following staff are actively seeking students on specific topics:

Dr. Alistair Baron (http://www.comp.lancs.ac.uk/~barona | a.baron at lancaster.ac.uk): Dealing with noisy unstructured text, Cyber security/digital forensics, Historical and diachronic corpora, Web and social media corpora.
