Symposium

Arguing for the validity of test
score interpretation and use

June 5th, 2013
Sala Convegni,
Department of Law
Via San Geminiano, 3 - 41121
Modena

Organized by the Language Assessment Institute at The University of Modena
and Reggio Emilia as part of its Summer School, the symposium will discuss
how test designers can construct a validity argument to justify test score
interpretation and the appropriate use of scores to make decisions about
examinees.

The symposium begins by providing an overview of how to build an
interpretative argument that can be used as a basis for
validation. Then each inference in the argument will be described and
illustrated to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of
what might be involved in a validation program.
