[Corpora-List] anonymity in BNC

While Geoff Sampson is correct that anonymity for persons mentioned in 
the spoken BNC is imperfect, and his document (section 4.1 of 
www.grsampson.net/ChrisDoc.html) makes a persuasive case for some 
hypothetical scenarios, the good news is that the anonymization has been 
entirely successful in at least one respect. As far as I know, there 
have no problems, legal or otherwise, relating to the identification of 
individuals in the more than twenty years since the release of the 
British National Corpus, and presumably the risk of such problems 
diminishes over time.
