Natural Language Processing and Applied Linguistics

Iowa State University has launched the Presidential High Impact Hires Initiative to support targeted faculty hiring in areas of strategic importance. As part of the initiative, the Department of English and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences invite applications for an assistant, associate, or full professor in natural language processing with an emphasis in educational applications, particularly analysis of students' linguistic production. At the undergraduate level, the successful applicant will teach basic courses in English and linguistics, and at the graduate level, courses in Applied Linguistics and Technology and in Human-Computer Interaction.
