The Center for Translation Studies at the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign invites applications for Lecturer (Ph.D. in hand) or
Instructor (Master’s degree in hand) in Translation Studies for
2015-2016, with a target start date of August 16, 2015.  The position
is renewable contingent on funding and strong performance reviews by
the Center for Translation Studies. The position is a full-time, nine
month appointment paid over twelve months.  Salary is competitive and
commensurate with experience.

Applicants must have a degree in Translation Studies or a closely
related field, Ph.D. preferred. A strong background in Terminology and
Computer-Assisted Translation tools is required. Proven success with
students who may have diverse levels of technical experience and
abilities is preferred.

In addition to teaching one of the program’s core courses, Terminology
and CAT tools, the teaching load of 3/3 will also consist of an
advanced CAT tools course, Capstone courses and other elective courses
as needed in the translation studies curriculum, such as
language-specific translation courses. For a complete list and
